Grandparents like boys because they believe that the boys will carry out their names. They are the most excited out of every one in the family too. When buying a gift for a baby boy, you have to be reminded that this boy will sooner or later grow so buying too much of clothes would probably not be the best idea. Sure, you can give the baby clothes because it is very much needed by babies and they really need to change quite often. However, you must also know that the zero months old baby grow so fast that the clothes they have on their back today will not be on their backs in 12 months or less.
If you insist on giving clothes for baby boys, why not just give something that is not really worn. For instance, you can give bibs. Bibs are clothing materials and worn but it can last longer than 12 months. Even if the baby is 2 years old, the baby can still use the bib.
Another one of this kind would be towels. Babies need towel all the time because they are not yet that stable in handling their bottles and they spill on their shirt all the time. Babies crawl a lot too and sometimes they pick up dirt that they should not be picking and they need to be wiped all the time.
Even if the new baby boy gifts mentioned above are essential gift items too, why not give something that can last a lifetime? Since you are grandparents to a newborn, why not give something sentimental? Why not give photo albums or picture frames? This will not be appreciate by the new baby boy now but when the baby boy grows up and needs pictures or wants to see pictures when he was younger, you will know that you gave the right gift.
